What this site collects
Right now, almost nothing — because right now this is a page describing a product you cannot yet use.
Today
This site does not accept documents, does not have accounts, and does not take payment. There is nothing here to upload a medical bill to.
It uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. That collects the usual web analytics: the pages you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you used. Google Signals and advertising personalization are switched off, so this is not used to build an advertising profile of you and is not shared for that purpose.
If you email support@medbillanalyzer.com we have your email and whatever you wrote in it, for as long as we need to answer you.
When the product launches
A medical bill is health information, and handling it deserves more than a paragraph on a marketing page. A full privacy policy — covering what we take, how long we keep it, who processes it, and your rights over it — will be published here, reviewed by counsel, before anyone can send us a document.
Some of it is already decided and built rather than promised:
- There is no field for a Social Security number, a date of birth, or an insurance member ID. Not a policy — the data model has no such field, the reader is instructed to leave them on the page, and a test fails if one is ever added.
- Nothing you send trains an AI model. Not ours, not anyone's.
- No health information reaches our logs. Transcribed values are stripped out before anything is written, and a test fails the build if any code path starts reading them.
- The comparison itself is not done by AI. A reader transcribes what is printed on your documents; fixed rules decide what it means.
One thing we are deliberately not claiming yet: that our AI provider retains nothing after reading your documents. That takes an agreement we have not signed, and until we have, saying it would be a promise we could not keep.
